2008 Update
TCLSPA
sent information to all of
the public and private high schools in
the tri-county area regarding our event
and that we are sponsoring a scholarship
essay contest for high school
seniors. The essay topic is the
same as this year's Court Observance
theme "Justice
- How You Can Make A Difference."
One
essay entry will be chosen as the
finalist from each high school and
finalists may be invited to attend our
Court Observance reception. The
winner of the contest will be chosen by
a panel of three judges, and a $250
scholarship check will be sent to the
college of their choice. The
winner of the essay and scholarship
award will be announced at the Mid-Year
Membership Meeting of the Mississippi
Legal Professionals Association on
November 8.
